FAQs

Here you will find answers to commonly asked questions, if you can’t find an answer to your query here please contact us via e-mail at info@unlockedfest.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

What’s different about Unlocked?
  • You don’t have to walk miles from your car to the campsite
  • Site is compact and easy to get around but we’ve allowed lots of space per person both in the campsites and in the arena
  • The music is crammed full of hits – it’s like your favourite singalong playlist but done live
  • We are not charging for car parking but ask that customers car share where possible
Which ticket should I buy?
  • If you want to camp on site and stay with us for the whole weekend, check out our camping options here
  • If you want to come and go each day and stay elsewhere then check out whether you want our standard non-camping ticket or whether you want to upgrade to our VIP experience
  • If you only want to come for a single day a limited number of day tickets are available but we expect these to go fast so why not treat yourself and join us for the whole weekend?
  • Only tickets purchased through our ticketing partner Gigantic will entitle you to access to the site. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone with a ticket purchased through a secondary seller
  • Tickets are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-transferable. If having bought tickets you find you are unable to attend please contact us and if the festival is sold out we will endeavour to resell the tickets and give you back the face value of the ticket, we cannot guarantee this however.
What about coronavirus?
  • Even without the virus, Unlocked was designed to allow lots of space per person and more toilets and showers per person too. But this also means people have space to move around easily and we have capacity to keep everything as clean as it possibly can be. There will also be sanitisation points around the site and of course, if the event can’t happen because of coronavirus (or for any other reason), you’ll be entitled to a refund or keep your ticket for the rescheduled event at the same price.
  • Our new ‘pod’ layout mean you can relax in the safety of your own pod with you own party, our pods are distanced from other pods by the minimum legal requirement at the time of the event.
  • We have increased cleaning regime in place to cover all toilets and showers as well as other contact points.
  • Our Cashless system ensures a contact-free event in all areas of the site.
How does the cashless system work?
  • When you arrive on site, your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband with a chip that’s registered to you. Not only will this give you access to all the places you’re allowed to go, it’s also what you’ll use for all your purchases on site – you just tap your wrist against our payment machines, like you would with your contactless bank card or mobile phone.
  • You can create your cashless wallet to add money in advance and also whilst you’re on site.
  • The sooner you create your wallet the sooner you can save towards your festival spend, why not put a little away each month?
  • After the event if there is balance left in your account you are welcome to request a refund for the amount or put it towards tickets to the following event
  • Click here for more info on the cashless system and to register your wallet
  • You don’t have to register a cashless account to use the system, you can simply charge the wristband on site using a debit or credit card but your experience at the festival will be much quicker and easier if you have the account ready to go.
  • Note that you can only receive a refund for unspent balances if you have an account setup so that we know where the balance needs to be returned.
What do I get as a VIP?
  • Dedicated entrance to VIP / glamping campsites
  • VIP only bar in the main arena with garden and great view of the main stage
  • Even more space per person in the campsite
  • Extra fancy loos and showers
  • Lockers in the campsite to keep your valuables secure (these must be purchased in advance)
  • Click here for more info about our VIP package
Can I bring my own booze?
  • No glass is allowed anywhere on site
  • You can bring your own alcohol to consume in the campsites, but we do reserve the right to confiscate excessive amounts
  • You can’t bring your own alcohol into the arena, but you can bring soft drinks (in sealed containers) or an empty refillable water bottle – there will be lots of places where you can fill this up free of charge
I have accessibility / medical requirements – what is there for me?
  • If you have an Essential Companion, they will be entitled to a free ticket (the same value as yours) once you have registered with our Essential Companion scheme
  • We have a DDA compliant campsite, with extra space and accessible toilets and showers (there will also be accessible toilets across the main arena)
  • There will be wheelchair viewing platforms at our two biggest stages
  • If you need to bring otherwise prohibited items into site to help you manage a condition – for example sharps – please contact us and we can provide you with an exemption letter
  • We want to make Unlocked Fest accessible to everyone so if you have a specific requirement or question, please get in touch via e-mail to and we’ll do our very best to help
Will my stuff be safe?
  • We are working with local police and our security providers to make the event as safe as possible but we regret that we cannot take responsibility for your possessions whilst you are on site and so we suggest that you only bring what you can afford to lose.
  • We recommend marking your possessions clearly and indelibly as items that are easily identifiable are a deterrent for potential thieves
  • Our cashless system means that you don’t need to bring cash to site
  • There will be lockers available to hire on site in our VIP area (these must be purchased in advance)
Which items are prohibited on site?
  • Drugs
  • Disposable BBQ’s and fires
  • Glass
  • Pyrotechnics
  • Flares
  • Laser Pens
  • Pen knives or any knife deemed to be larger than required for preparing food in the campsite
Want to get involved?

I am a Trader and would like a pitch
  • Applications for Traders will be open in January, there will be an application process for this so we can select the perfect offering for our customers. Please contact us directly with your details to be considered for an application at traders@unlockedfest.co.uk
  • Please note that all Traders will be required to use our cashless system and be provided with terminals on site
